Footy Kits Battle is an independent UK-based site published under the Footy Kits Battle Editorial organisation name. The site is funded by affiliate commissions on retailer links. Selected informational and utility pages can carry one clearly labelled manual Google AdSense placement only in a release that explicitly enables AdSense and confirms a Google-certified CMP. There are no sponsored posts, no paid placements in rankings, and no brand partnerships baked into editorial.

Active: Amazon Associates with OneLink

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Footy Kits Battle's Amazon links initially point to Amazon.co.uk. Amazon OneLink may redirect eligible international visitors, including eligible US visitors, to their local Amazon store and map the click to the corresponding destination Associates account.

  • UK source tag: footykitsbattle-21 — appears on the Amazon links placed on this site.
  • Eligible US routing: OneLink maps redirected clicks to the US store ID smarthomeuk21-21. We do not place the UK tag directly on Amazon.com links.
  • What we earn: a small percentage commission on qualifying purchases. Commission rates vary by category and are set by Amazon.
  • What you pay: we do not add a fee to the price displayed by the destination Amazon store.
  • What we receive: commission and conversion reporting; Amazon does not provide us with your customer identity.
  • Link marking: all Amazon links on the site carry rel="sponsored" per FTC and ASA / CAP guidance.

Selected pages: manual Google AdSense with a certified CMP

FKB keeps Google's publisher-verification meta tag in the page head, but that inert tag does not load ads. A manual AdSense runtime and slot fail closed unless the release explicitly enables AdSense and confirms that a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) is configured.

An enabled release can display one clearly labelled placement on each approved informational or utility page. Auto Ads are disabled, and direct visits to shopping, comparison and interactive routes do not load the AdSense runtime. The certified CMP manages advertising consent separately. FKB's Google Analytics choice controls GA4 only and must not be treated as ad consent.

Pending: Sovrn Commerce auto-affiliate

We applied to Sovrn Commerce on 17 April 2026 and were declined on 20 April 2026 due to site age (Sovrn requires four months of content). We intend to re-apply between 15 June and 15 July 2026 once that requirement is met.

When Sovrn is re-enabled, outbound links to retailers other than Amazon (Classic Football Shirts, Sports Direct, Nike.com, Adidas.com, etc.) will be rewritten at click-time so we earn a small commission on those clicks too — at no cost to you. Amazon links remain handled by Amazon Associates directly so the footykitsbattle-21 tag is preserved.

Sovrn is currently disabled on this site — the integration script does not load. This page will be updated the same day it is re-enabled.

Editorial independence

Affiliate revenue does not influence rankings, kit reviews, tier-list positions, or which teams / shirts get featured. Concretely:

  • No retailer or kit manufacturer pays for inclusion or for higher placement.
  • Where we link to Amazon search results rather than a specific ASIN, it's so you can compare sellers, sizes and prices before deciding — not so we can avoid a less-profitable product.
  • Where Amazon, Classic Football Shirts, Sports Direct or an official store appear together, they are routes for you to check. We do not claim live price, return-policy or stock comparisons unless current retailer data is shown explicitly.
  • Kit Clash, Tier List, Top 5 and Leaderboard are all driven by user votes — affiliate revenue cannot tilt them.

How to opt out of affiliate links

Every product mentioned on the site is also reachable by typing the product name into the retailer's search box directly. Doing so doesn't cost you anything and means we earn no commission on that visit. Use whichever you prefer — both are fine with us.
