Footy Kits Battle is an independent football-shirt discovery and fan site. You do not need an account or need to upload anything to browse, vote, compare shirts or use the on-site tools. If you choose to request email alerts, you do provide an email address.
This policy explains the small amount of data we do process, the third-party services that receive usage data or may set cookies on this domain, and the controls available.
What we collect directly
- No account data — there is no signup or login.
- No payment data — we do not sell directly on-site.
- Game progress and preferences — including your local Kit Clash history, rankings, predictor and guessing-game progress, Locker, comparisons and saved shirts — are stored in browser storage on your device so they can persist between visits.
- My Premier League Podium stays in the current page until you explicitly choose Save. A saved podium stores only three ordered, allowlisted 2026-27 Home-shirt identifiers in browser storage. A shared podium puts the three allowlisted club slugs in the page hash so another visitor can open that personal result; it is not a public vote and does not change My Locker.
- The daily club-shirt quiz keeps only its last-played UK date and best score in this browser. Cop/Drop calls, 1–10 ratings and the 2026-27 club-shirt tier list remain personal to this browser and are written only when you choose Save or Finalise. Shared quiz and tier-list results contain no account identifier and do not create a public vote or ranking.
- A shared Weekly Drop Battle puts its fixed week, share-format version, draw identifier and winning club slug in the URL fragment (the part after
#). The fragment is not sent to the site server in the page request, but it can be read by your browser and scripts running on the page. As explained below, Ahrefs Web Analytics may receive page URLs containing fragments; FKB's weekly GA4 events do not send the fragment, week, pick sequence or winner. The shared result does not create an account, public vote or popularity ranking. - Kit Clash also has a shared aggregate feature. When FKB's aggregate vote backend is configured, casting a vote sends the winner and loser team IDs to it automatically. This is part of casting the vote rather than a separate opt-in, and it updates the shared ratings and vote total without creating an account or personal voting profile.
- If you submit an email-alert form, the address and the form source are sent to the configured subscription endpoint. If that remote submission cannot complete, the site may place the address, source and capture time in a temporary queue in browser storage on that device.
- Our hosting and configured backend providers may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent and timestamp for delivery, security and abuse prevention.
Third-party services we use
We use a small number of third parties to keep the site running and the site funded. Each one is listed below with what it does and how to opt out.
Google Analytics 4
Property G-4XQG6LTL5V. FKB uses basic consent mode. Before you accept analytics, FKB does not create a Google data layer or gtagfunction, load the GA4 script, configure GA4 or emit analytics events. If you have never accepted, rejecting analytics keeps GA4 unloaded. If you revoke after accepting, the fetched script cannot be removed from that page, but FKB sets Google's disable flag, removes the available event function and sends no further analytics events. If you accept, GA4 can use analytics storage to measure pages viewed, country-level location, device category, referrer and interactions with site tools. The current release keeps Google's standard page-view collection in place; Google documents that its default page location excludes URL fragments, although it may include query strings. FKB has a pathname-only manual tracker prepared, but it stays disabled until an approved administrator has disabled and verified Google's separate browser-history page-view setting. When that two-gate rollout is activated, the manual page-view event excludes both query strings and page fragments. Save and compare events can be emitted only after analytics acceptance and may include dimensions such as a club, team or item identifier, item type, maker, saved state and comparison or result counts. Compare may record the coarse adult, kids, replica, authentic or not-sure mode selected for that visit, whether an eligible one-shirt decision panel or a multi-shirt decision-table entry became visible, the resulting decision category and whether a route was an exact match, official reference or marketplace search. The one-shirt event is limited to a count of one, club subject type, editable selection mode and coarse buyer fields; it does not send the shirt identity. Compare does not send a selected size, body-chest measurement, measurement unit, candidate size, comparison hash or full comparison contents. The Size Decision tool processes its numeric input only in the component and may send the bounded placement, maker, adult/kids/not-sure context and result-state category; a later retailer click may say only whether it followed a completed size decision whose audience and edition matched that route. Retailer-route measurement may record that a labelled CTA became visible and whether it was clicked, together with its placement, retailer, shirt variant, buyer mode, commission state, encoded source market and whether an Amazon UK link is eligible for account-side OneLink localisation. These fields do not reveal which storefront Amazon ultimately serves. World Cup-to-year-round measurement may record that a reviewed transition module became visible and which internal route was clicked, together with its source category, placement and destination path. The Buy-Safe Evidence Check processes the entered manufacturer code and five individual answers only in the page component; it never transmits those values. If analytics is accepted, its FKB events may send only the fixed tool version, page and placement fields, whether a reference was found and the coarse stronger, mixed or insufficient evidence result. Club-history engagement measurement sends only the fixed history version, the published page's bounded club slug and a fixed action such as a data download, era jump or internal handoff. It does not send the selected era, source URL, retailer destination or visible link label. The Club Finder's temporary decision/Compare shortlist records only add/remove/clear, one-shirt-decision-open or Compare-open outcomes and the resulting count; it does not send the selected club or variant identities. The retailer chooser may record that its fixed entry became visible and which allowlisted internal destination area was opened, together with fixed placement, route-type count, featured count and site phase. It does not send the featured club or shirt identity, card position, visible label, URL or comparison hash. Noncommissioned verified product links continue to use ordinary retailer-route measurement. Only the separate star control explicitly saves an exact shirt reference to your local Locker. My Premier League Podium may record that the tool became visible, whether a selection was added or removed and the resulting count, plus completion, explicit save, share-method and Compare-open outcomes. Candidate identity and podium position are not sent. Analytics also does not receive the ordered three, saved payload, share text, share URL or page hash. If you choose Share, your browser either passes the composed podium text and link to the app you select or copies them to your clipboard; FKB does not post the result itself. The daily club-shirt quiz may record a start, question number, whether an answer was correct, final score, share method and a details, Compare or buying-options opening. The Weekly Drop Battle may record a start, round, completion, share or internal result action together with its fixed rotating template identifier. It does not send the week date, pick sequence or winner. The personal tier list may record a start, assignment count, draft finalisation, full completion, share method and S-tier Locker-save count, plus an optional buying-options opening. Cop/Drop may record only that a personal call was saved. These club-play events do not send the chosen club, exact shirt, tier contents, Cop/Drop verdict, 1–10 rating, daily date, saved payload, share text or share URL. They are emitted only after analytics acceptance and are not queued. If you explicitly share My Locker, your browser passes up to eight visible saved-shirt names and the Locker link to the app you select, or copies them to your clipboard. FKB does not post the collection itself and analytics records only the successful share method, not those shirt names. Retired legacy bridge-click measurements may also contain the short visible CTA label; those events are not merged into the clean transition reports. Bridge measurement does not send a destination query or hash, finder search text or the contents of your Locker. This helps us improve the product without sending Google the full contents of your Locker or local game history.

Opt-out: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, choose Reject GA4 in our site prompt, reopen Google Analytics choices in the footer, or use any content-blocker that blocks googletagmanager.com.
Ahrefs Web Analytics
Ahrefs Web Analytics loads globally on each page and operates separately from FKB's Google Analytics choice. Ahrefs describes this service as cookie-free and without persistent identifiers. The tracker receives the page URL and referrer, page title, browser or user-agent and language information, technical screen or device information, country and city derived from the request IP address, page views, outbound link destinations and form submissions. Page URLs can include query strings or page fragments; referrers can include query strings. The tracker submits the form action, not values entered into form fields. To estimate a unique visitor for one day, Ahrefs says it creates a salted hash from the visitor's IP address and user-agent, resets that salt every 24 hours, and discards the raw IP address rather than storing it. FKB uses the resulting aggregate reports and does not attempt to identify individual visitors. Ahrefs Site Explorer remains a separate crawler-based search and backlink research tool.
Read Ahrefs' Web Analytics data explanation. FKB's Reject GA4 control stops GA4; it does not turn off this separate cookie-free measurement. You can block analytics.ahrefs.com with a browser or content-blocker.
Amazon Associates and OneLink
When you click a “Shop on Amazon”, “Buy kit” or similar button, the site opens a full Amazon.co.uk link with our UK affiliate tag footykitsbattle-21. Amazon OneLink may redirect an eligible international visitor to a local Amazon store, including Amazon.com for eligible US visitors, and map the click to that destination Associates account. Amazon then handles the visit under the applicable store's privacy notice; see the Amazon UK privacy notice or the Amazon.com privacy notice. We receive commission and conversion reporting, not your customer identity.
Opt-out: simply don't click the affiliate links — every Amazon link on the site is also reachable by typing the product name into Amazon directly.
Sovrn Commerce (pending — not currently active)
Sovrn is an auto-affiliate service that rewrites outbound retailer links (Classic Football Shirts, Sports Direct, Nike, Adidas, etc.) at click time so we can earn a commission on those clicks too. Sovrn is currently disabled on this site and the integration script does not load. When it is re-enabled we will update this page and Sovrn's tracker will be governed by their privacy policy.
Google AdSense (selected pages; CMP-managed)
The AdSense verification meta tag does not run advertising. On selected informational and utility pages, a release can load one clearly labelled manual ad placement only when the operator enables AdSense and explicitly confirms that a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) is configured. Auto Ads are disabled, and direct visits to FKB's shopping, comparison and interactive routes do not load the AdSense runtime. The certified CMP manages advertising consent separately. FKB's Google Analytics choice does not manage ad consent.
Vercel (hosting)
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Vercel logs basic request metadata for uptime, security and DDoS protection per their privacy policy.
Google Analytics choice and browser storage
We show a Google Analytics choice on first visit. GA4 remains completely unloaded unless you accept GA4. A first-use rejection leaves it unloaded; revoking after acceptance disables further GA4 events even though already-fetched JavaScript cannot be removed from the open page. Ahrefs Web Analytics runs independently of this GA4 choice as described above. We store the GA4 choice in local storage so we do not ask again on every visit. You can use Google Analytics choices in the footer at any time to clear the stored decision and choose again. The custom prompt does not manage advertising consent.
Browser storage is useful, but it is not an absolute privacy boundary. Third-party scripts that run on an FKB page can technically access same-origin storage where the browser permits it. We do not intentionally send those services your full local game history, Locker or fallback email queue. After GA4 acceptance, GA4 event calls may contain the specific save, compare and retailer-route details described above. Before GA4 acceptance, those GA4 analytics calls are not available and are not queued for later delivery.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we've mishandled your data.
Clearing FKB site data removes local game progress, Locker data, saves and any fallback email queue from that browser. It does not undo an aggregate vote, a GA4 measurement already transmitted while GA4 was accepted, an Ahrefs measurement already transmitted independently of that GA4 choice, or an email subscription already sent to the remote service. We'll respond to any reasonable request within 30 days.
