Kit of the Day #18: Belgium — Red Devils, New Era

The Belgian Golden Generation is mostly gone but De Bruyne is hanging on for one more shot. The red Adidas kit looks brilliant. Day 18 of Kit of the Day.

One more shot for the Golden Generation core

Belgium’s Golden Generation has aged out almost entirely — but Kevin De Bruyne is still here, still 34, still capable of running tournaments. They sit in Group G with Egypt, Iran and New Zealand — a winnable group on paper.

The design

Red Devils red Adidas home shirt with black-gold influence and bold tournament attitude. Classic three-stripe sleeve detailing, crest sitting central, slightly more athletic cut than the 2022 version. The black-and-gold accents feel premium rather than gimmicky.

Who to watch

Kevin De Bruyne the conductor in what must surely be his last tournament. Jeremy Doku the next-generation winger threatening to take Eden Hazard’s old role. Romelu Lukaku still scoring international goals at a startling rate. Add Amadou Onana and the spine is still elite.

Why you should care

De Bruyne shirts at this World Cup will sell in numbers. The Belgium home kit is one of the most recognisable in international football. Get it for the De Bruyne farewell tour alone.
