Kit of the Day #26: Canada — Co-Hosts Wearing the Maple Leaf

Canada at a home World Cup. Davies, David, Eustaquio. The red Nike kit looks brilliant. The country has gone football-mad in the build-up. Day 26 of Kit of the Day.

A whole country falling for football

Canada as co-hosts of 2026 is one of the biggest stories of the tournament. They were at Qatar 2022 (their first World Cup since 1986) and showed real promise. Three years later, with home games and a more experienced squad, they have a genuine chance of getting out of Group B.

The design

Bold red Nike home shirt with clean white detailing built around the maple leaf identity. The crest is redesigned and sits central, the cuffs feature a subtle white maple-leaf repeat. Paired with white shorts. The cleanest Canada kit ever produced.

Who to watch

Alphonso Davies — the fastest left back on the planet and a global superstar. Jonathan David scoring at French and now European-elite level, and Stephen Eustaquio dictating midfield. Add Cyle Larin and Tajon Buchanan and the depth is real.

Why you should care

Group B with Qatar, Switzerland and a playoff winner is wide open. Home games for Canada are going to feel electric — think USA 1994 energy but for the maple leaf. Davies-name shirts will fly off the shelves.
