Kit of the Day #24: Colombia — Yellow and Loud and Brilliant

Colombia back at a World Cup after missing 2022. Luis Diaz at his peak, James still pulling strings, and that yellow kit is one of the great football shirts ever made. Day 24 of Kit of the Day.

Putting 2022 behind them

Colombia missed the Qatar 2022 cut and it stung. Three years later they are back — Copa America 2024 finalists, packed with quality, and slotted into Group K with Portugal, Uzbekistan and a playoff winner.

The design

Bright yellow Adidas home shirt with blue-and-red trim and unmistakable Colombian flair. The shoulder striping is more pronounced than recent versions and the crest sits proud and central. One of the few yellow kits that always looks premium rather than tournament-cheap.

Who to watch

Luis Diaz at the peak of his powers — absolutely terrifying down the left. James Rodriguez still capable of moments at 34. Jhon Arias and Daniel Munoz add the engine. This is a deeper, more balanced Colombia squad than the 2018 quarter-finalists.

Why you should care

Yellow kits at the World Cup have a special status (Brazil, Sweden, Ecuador, Colombia). The Colombia 2026 release is one of the standouts. Get one if you want a neutral-fan kit that still feels properly considered.
