Kit of the Day #27: South Korea — Son’s Last Dance in Red

Eleven World Cups in a row — that is wild

South Korea have qualified for every World Cup since 1986. Eleven in a row. No other Asian nation comes close. The 2026 squad is built around Son Heung-min having one final tournament push at the very top level.

The design

Powerful red Nike home shirt with crisp white notes on the collar and sleeves, and a subtle modern pattern echoing traditional Korean motifs. The red is slightly punchier than recent releases. One of the easier-on-the-eye Asian kits of the cycle.

Who to watch

Son Heung-min the talisman — this could realistically be his last World Cup as a starter. Lee Kang-in stepping up as the creative successor, and Kim Min-jae anchoring the back. Hwang Hee-chan and Hwang In-beom give the squad real Premier League experience.

Why you should care

Group A with Mexico, South Africa and a playoff winner is properly winnable. Son shirts are going to sell in huge numbers globally because of his Tottenham fanbase — grab one early.
