Kit of the Day #23: Switzerland — Quiet, Solid, Always There

The team that just keeps showing up

Switzerland have reached the round of 16 at four of the last five major tournaments. They never get hyped, they never get ranked, they just keep showing up and doing it. The Nati are in Group B with Canada, Qatar and a playoff winner.

The design

Signature red Puma home shirt with crisp white cross-inspired detailing on the shoulders and a small embroidered cross at the back of the neck. The cut is sharper than the 2022 version and the red is a touch deeper. Disciplined, premium, very Swiss.

Who to watch

Granit Xhaka the captain and midfield metronome, Manuel Akanji elite at the back, and Xherdan Shaqiri likely playing his last World Cup at 34. Add Breel Embolo and Ricardo Rodriguez and the spine is European-tournament-tested.

Why you should care

Switzerland kits are one of those quietly perfect designs that never go out of style. The 2026 release is no exception. If you want a tournament shirt that does not scream for attention but rewards anyone who really looks at it, this is the one.
