Curacao are an island of 150,000 people. They qualified from CONCACAF. If Cape Verde is the story of the cycle, Curacao is the punchline that turned out to be true. Their kit is going to be everywhere on the tournament’s opening weekend.

The design

Royal blue home shirt with a distinctive yellow stripe running down the left side of the chest — matching the flag. The crest is new, redesigned for the qualification cycle, and sits slightly higher than traditional placement for a more modern look.

Who to watch

Leandro Bacuna anchors the midfield, Juninho Bacuna links play, Jurgen Locadia still has goals in him. Dutch-heritage talent makes up most of the squad, which has been the country’s football strategy for over a decade.
