Another debutant, even smaller
Curacao are an island of 150,000 people. They qualified from CONCACAF. If Cape Verde is the story of the cycle, Curacao is the punchline that turned out to be true. Their kit is going to be everywhere on the tournament’s opening weekend.
The design
Royal blue home shirt with a distinctive yellow stripe running down the left side of the chest — matching the flag. The crest is new, redesigned for the qualification cycle, and sits slightly higher than traditional placement for a more modern look.
Who to watch
Leandro Bacuna anchors the midfield, Juninho Bacuna links play, Jurgen Locadia still has goals in him. Dutch-heritage talent makes up most of the squad, which has been the country’s football strategy for over a decade.
Why you should care
Caribbean football fashion is a deep rabbit hole and Curacao is the doorway. The shirt photographs brilliantly in daylight and is already picking up Kit Clash votes well above what a 150,000-person country should be getting.
