New Zealand’s last World Cup was 2010 — they finished the group stage unbeaten and still went out, which only happens at New Zealand World Cups. They’re back in 2026 in Group G with Iran, Belgium and Egypt.
The design
The All Whites stay true to the name — white home shirt, black shorts, white socks. The 2026 Nike version adds a subtle fern-leaf pattern woven into the shoulders and a slightly sharper collar. If minimalism is your thing, this is one of the most disciplined kits of the tournament.
Who to watch
Chris Wood still leading the line at 33, Elijah Just on the wing, Alex Paulsen in goal. The spine of the team is experienced and the attacking additions are all European-league quality.
Why you should care
Plain white kits age better than almost any other design. Nigeria 1994, England 1966, West Germany 1990 — the classic white shirt never looks dated. The NZ 2026 release will be a collector piece in 20 years.
